Facebook's New Plan: Apps

"We just think that there are all these different ways that people want to share, and that compressing them all into a single blue app is not the right format of the future." Those words from Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg in a recent Bloomberg Businessweek interview are at the core of the social network's new strategy. What does the strategy entail? Lots of apps.

In the following video, Fool contributor Daniel Sparks and Motley Fool technology bureau chief Evan Niu look at Facebook's new plan. The company's just-launched Paper app is one of the first apps to stem from the strategy. But it certainly won't be the only new app this year. The company's new Facebook Creative Labs initiative will bring many new Facebook apps to market this year.
