Most PC gamers would tell you a desktop is the way to go. In terms of customizability, and pricing, nothing really beats a tower. But gaming desktops aren't for everyone -- sometimes you need to be able to game on the go.
If you're a PC gamer in need a of a new laptop, your options are literally endless. Macs are nice, but not really suitable for gaming, while Chromebooks are worthless gaming machines. What you'll need is a powerful laptop running Microsoft's Windows, with a dedicated graphics card, a speedy processor, tons of ram and a big screen.
